Enthusiasm on Michigan sports betting apps alone won’t put fans in the seats in Detroit this season. The Tigers promotions department put together a varied slate of themed nights.
The top Tigers promotion that fans are searching for the most involves man’s best friend, with the team’s four “Bark in the Park” games drawing the highest result among fans, at 50%.
In second place was Star Wars Day, which will be held on June 22 when Detroit plays the Chicago White Sox, with fans receiving a Star Wars-themed shirt as part of the promotion.
That film-related promo got 20% of votes from Reddit respondents, while the team’s Saturday Giveaways (15%), Negro Leagues Weekend and Little League Day (7.5% each) rounded out the top five among Detroit fans.
The Saturday giveaways this year include a retro Detroit Stars cap, which is during Negro Leagues Weekend July 12-14, when Detroit hosts the Los Angeles Dodgers for three games at Comerica Park. The Dodgers are the World Series favorite at +350 at BetMGM Michigan.
Little League Day takes place this year on Aug. 17 when Detroit hosts the New York Yankees, with the first 15,000 fans in attendance receiving a Riley Green Little League Classic bobblehead and Little League-branded socks from the club.
