Michigan’s Blake Corum, one of the most impactful running backs in modern college football history, soon will be in the NFL.
Corum ran for 3,737 yards and 58 touchdowns in four seasons in Ann Arbor, culminating in a national championship. Along the way, he gave Wolverines fans countless reasons to cheer and his exploits were clutch for many backing the team in Michigan sports betting.
The All-American finished in the top 10 in Heisman Trophy voting in each of the last two seasons, thanks to rushing for 1,463 (18 touchdowns) and 1,245 yards (27 touchdowns) in 2022 and 2023, respectively. Not having Corum could have an impact on Michigan football odds in 2024.
Currently, Corum is projected by MockDraftDataBase.com to go in the third round of April’s NFL Draft.
With all that in mind, BetMichigan.com – your source for online Michigan casinos - broke down the odds on which NFL franchise we see landing Corum in the NFL Draft.
It seems like Harbaugh’s new employer is the best bet when it comes to drafting Corum in 2024, with the Chargers sitting at +700 on our odds board at the moment. That is ahead of the Dallas Cowboys (+800), Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New York Giants (+1000 each).
The Chargers have nine picks, including the 69th selection in the third round (which is where many have Corum slotted in), with an outside chance that the four-year starter in Ann Arbor slides to them in the fourth round at No. 110.
The Cowboys have the 87th pick in the third round and don’t pick again until No. 173 in the fifth round, which could complicate their pursuit of Corum. Tampa Bay has the No. 82 pick in the third round and the Giants pick at No. 70 in the third round and No. 107 in the fourth round of the seven-round event.
One way or another, one lucky NFL franchise is going to land a player who has torched NCAA defenses for four seasons.

Corum is not even 5-8, but we all know there have been plenty of running backs who excel at that height. Darren Sproles is a prime example.
The loss of Corum and quarterback JJ McCarthy, a certain first-rounder, will be a lot to overcome in the first season for Harbaugh’s successor, Sherrone Moore. BetMGM Michigan has the Wolverines with +1600 odds to repeat as national champs, behind Georgia (+350), Ohio State (+425), Texas (+750), Alabama (+800), Oregon (+1000) and Ole Miss (+1100).
Michigan running back Blake Corum wasn't known for his speed when he was at the collegiate level, which was made obvious by his 4.53 in the 40-yard dash at the 2024 NFL Combine.
Corum has been known to be a running back with power and strength between the tackles. At the 2024 NFL Combine, he had 27 bench press reps, which was the most for an RB. His 27 reps tied Joe Alt, a high offensive tackle prospect from Notre Dame.
While we won’t know to NFL Draft weekend in Detroit, BetMichigan.com developed hypothetical odds of Corum’s NFL Draft landing spot with the Chargers (+700), Cowboys (+800), Buccaneers (+1000) and Giants (+1000) the favorites.
After winning the College Football Playoff National Championship with Michigan, the 23-year-old running back decided to declare for the NFL Draft after his two-time All-American collegiate career. Corum currently projects as a 3rd-round draft pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
After his All-American career at Michigan, Corum had a strong performance the NFL Scouting Combine, which landed him with a 3rd-round projection as of late March. As it stands now, Blake Corum definitely will be drafted in the 2024 NFL Draft.
